Our Story and Expertise
We started Oakland Carpentry in 2016 with a straightforward mission: bring honest craftsmanship back to residential carpentry. Over nearly a decade, we've built a reputation by tackling the jobs that matter most, from hidden structural damage to the visible details that make a house feel like home. We've repaired countless floors compromised by rot and termites, replaced load-bearing beams, and installed everything from custom built-ins to exterior doors. Every project taught us something, and that experience shows in the quality of our work.
Today, we're known in Oakland for handling both the urgent (emergency wood rot repair) and the intentional (crown molding and custom shelving that elevates a room). We work on everything from Victorian homes to modern builds, and we understand the particular challenges Oakland's climate and older housing stock present. We're not the biggest shop in the Bay Area, but we're the ones who care enough to get it right.
